Black Stars B’ on Tuesday qualified to the finals of the 2019 West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Tournament after Shafiu Mumuni scored all three goals as Ghana defeat Cote D’Ivoire.
The Ashanti Gold player against the run of play scored Ghana’s opener to end the first half 1-0 in favor of the defending champions.
It took just 20 seconds for the Black Stars B’ captain to double his tally after great play from Augustine Okrah to set him up for a great header to put Ghana 2-0 up less than a minute into the second half.
Three minutes later, the AshantiGold attacker scored his third to complete a hat-trick for Ghana in a 3-1 victory over Cote D’Ivoire who managed to pull one back with less than a quarter to end the match.
The results meant Ghana will play winner in Wednesday’s second semifinal game between Senegal and Mali in the finals of the 2019 WAFU tournament.
