Chairman of Volta Regional Football Association, Daniel agbogah will join four others as the newly appointed Referees Committee by the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association.
The Ho Dynamo FC boss who was elected as head of the Regional Football Association (RFA) will be joined by Astute Journalist Michael Oti Adjei, Christine Ziga and C. W. Okine.
The final slot on the committee will be decided by the winner in the upcoming Executive Council election between Central RFA chairman Robert Duncan and his compatriot from the Upper East Region, Salifu Zida.
Whoever emerges victor will be the chairman of the five-member Referees Committee with Michael Oti Adjei serving as Vice.
They have been tasked with the appointment of referees for GFA- sanctioned or organized matches, study match reports and make necessary recommendations to the Executive Council, nominate candidates eligible to officiate international matches per FIFA regulations, as well as ensure compliance with standard refereeing methods as established by FIFA.
The two-year mandate will also ensure strict compliance with the provisions of the regulations on the organization of refereeing in FIFA member associations and the GFA refereeing regulations.
