The newly constituted Volta Regional Football Association’s(VRFA) Women’s committee held it’s maiden meeting today, 28th July 2020.
The meeting which took place at the RFA Secretariat in Ho was to afford the newly constituted Committee the opportunity to discuss pertinent issues confronting women football in the region and to draw a blueprint towards the upcoming 2020/2021 league season.
The Chairperson for the Committee, Madam Innocentia Agbavitor enumerated several plans towards the restart of women’s competitions across the region, and the modalities geared towards improving all female clubs.
She however bemoans difficulties clubs face in the region especially with finance which accounted for their inability to operate professionally and effectively over the years.
Innocentia Agbavitor also appealed to the RFA Secretariat to help in sensitising parents to understand the benefits of female football.
The committee members then deliberated extensively on how to plan towards the upcoming league season to look very appealing to the corporate world.
They also exploited ideas and visions on restructuring women football from the district levels.
Daniel Agbogah, Chairman of the Regional Football Association said the RFA is bent on assisting the committee in realizing their strategies to develop Women football.
The Committee is made up of 5 members.
