Chairman of the Volta Regional Football Association, Daniel Agbogah made satisfactory remarks to juvenile clubs in the region after donating items towards the return of the district-level league.
The VRFA boss congratulated the various club chairmen at the district level for their efforts in enrolling their clubs into the FIFA Connect Registration System.
“I must congratulate all of you for your relentless efforts to have our district-level clubs enrolled in the FIFA Connect Registration System. Something we have struggled to do over the years. I am so excited about this achievement”.
Agbogah further urged them not to relent on their efforts in reviving football in the region.
“Having said that, I must tell you that we have a huge task that lies ahead of us. It bestows on us to deliver our mandate to the people. Football must revive in the Volta Region and it must start from the Districts across the Region,” he is quoted by voltafa.org
Items donated by the Volta Regional Football Association included footballs, whistles, and learners’ flags meant to tool the referees being developed under the ‘Catch Them Young’ policy initiated by the Kurt Okraku led Ghana Football Association.
On the donation, Daniel Agbogah tasked DFA’s to ensure proper care for the items meant to enhance the sport at the grassroots level.
“Though these items are just a token, I humbly urge you to take good care of them and put them into good use. I assure you that if God gives us life and strength, and things improve, we shall continue to support the development of football at the district levels until we reposition Volta Football.
“We are not stopping at anything and this must be a collective fight just as you have all started.”
