English Championship side, Swansea City will hold talks with Andre Ayew over his future at the club.
The Ghana captain has been instrumental for the Wales side in the chase for topflight football this season scoring 18 times to emerge as the team’s top scorer in 2019-2020 campaign.
This comes after Swansea were kicked out of the contest for premier league football after losing 3-1 to Brentford in a playoff game on Wednesday.
“I think that’s a conversation me and Andre need to have”
“I would like nothing more than for Andre to be playing with us again next season, Swansea City manager, Steve Cooper is quoted by the BBC.
“We have seen the real level of player he is this year, with the goals he has scored and the impact he has had on and off the pitch. It’s been brilliant to work with him.
Cooper maintained that the Black Stars skipper is better than the Championship.
“But I understand Andre is a better player than the Championship. That’s a matter of fact and I am sure he will have offers to do that.”
Andre Ayew has a year to run on his current deal with Welsh side who will attempt to tie him on a fresh deal.
