Richard Attah was among a few local players who earned a place in the latest black stars call up for October’s 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe.

The 32-man provisional squad is the first call-up by coach Milovan Rajevac who replaced CK Akonnor as the new black stars head coach.

Ghana’s provision squad saw the inclusion of four goalkeepers – Swindon Town’s Jojo Wallocott, Lawrence Ati-Zigi of St. Gallen, and Asante Kotoko’s Ibrahim Danlad.

However, Richard Attah’s inclusion comes as no surprise following the successful double-winning season with Hearts of Oak.

The goalkeeper’s contribution to Hearts season was not limited to his shot-stopping abilities. His ball distribution and passing ability to start play from the back was vital for coach Samuel Boadu’s defence-to-attack tactics.

Here is video proof of how Richard Attah made his case for inclusion in Milovan Rajevac’s first Black Stars squad.
