It appears the future of Black Stars head coach, Kwesi Appiah hinges on Ghana’s performance in the double-header against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
Kwesi Appiah since Black Stars’ poor showing in the 2019 African Cup of Nations has been under pressure to vacate his position as technical head of the team.
With two months left on his contract, the former Al Khartoum coach will have to do more to earn a new deal as reiterated by newly elected Executive Council member Nana Oduro Sarfo.
”We spoke with Kwesi Appiah to find out his problems and how we can help him ahead of the Black Stars games.
”We did not speak about new contract or sacking him. He still has two months to go so we assured him of our support, Nana Oduro Sarfo as quoted by GhanaWeb.
”After the two games, we will sit down and decide whether to give him a new deal or not”, he added.
The Black Stars will on 14th November 2019 face Bafana Bafana at Cape Coast Sports Stadium before playing Sao Tome three days later in the 2021 AFCON Qualifiers.
