Hearts of Oak will attempt to revenge their 2017 President cup loss to Kotoko on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports stadium.
The two Ghanaian giants will renew their rivalry in this years’ edition of the one-off cup match.
The last time the two teams met was in the Normalisation Committee (NC) Tier 1 semifinal clash in Accra where the Porcupine Warriors emerged victors after a penalty shootout.
Ahead of Sunday, Hearts of Oak have engaged in series of friendly games at the Pobiman Park with their rivals playing Ashanti Gold in the BK Edusei Memorial Cup.
The last time the two sworn rivals played in the President Cup was in 2017 where Kotoko emerged champions via a 4-1 penalty shootout in Kumasi.
The President Cup is played in honor of the sitting president of Ghana with this years’ winner expected to take home GH¢30,000 .
