Reports reaching Press Sports Ghana indicates that football clubs in Ghana’s top division are set to receive $5,000.00 from the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
According to sources, television rights sponsors of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) Startimes Ghana Limited have made some payments to the GFA in honour of the contractual agreements with the Association.
All 18 clubs in the GPL are due payments in coming days which will come as a huge relief as sporting activities remain suspended in the country due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.
Startimes Ghana was awarded Ghana Premier league and FA cup broadcasting rights in January following a competitive bidding process.
