The Koforidua Sports Stadium is gradually nearing completion as renovations works continue on the facility.
Government of Ghana led by Minister for Youth And Sports, Isaac Asiamah broke grounds for the project to commence in March 2018.
This was necessitated by the poor state of the facility which had not seen any proper maintenance since it was constructed many decades ago.
The reconstruction is behind schedule as the project was expected to take nine months.
But a recent visit to the stadium shows that works are far advanced on the project which should be completed soon.
The stadium, when completed, will serve a multipurpose function as it will have tartan tracks for athletics as well as a court for Basketball, among on the facilities.
