Former WAFA playmaker, Majeed Ashimeru has completed a loan move to join Belgium Pro League side, Anderlecht on a loan deal with an option to sign a permanent deal after the end of the current football season.
The talented 23-year-old has joined the Belgium side from RedBull Salzburg in the Austrian top division.
Ashimeru penned the deal after agreeing terms and undergoing mandatory medicals ahead of the transfer confirmed earlier on Wednesday.
“Majeed is a young, versatile midfielder with a lot of verticality in his game. He was schooled within the Red Bull philosophy, meaning his profile matches what we look for in a player. On top of that, Majeed has a good acceleration and he loves to infiltrate,”
“Even more importantly, Majeed really wanted to come to Anderlecht, and we negotiated an option to buy the player, which gives us a perspective on a long term collaboration.” Anderlecht sporting director Peter Verbeke told the club’s website.
