Hearts of Oak continued their progress under Coach Edward Nii Odoom after beating Second-tier side, Danbort FC in the MTN FA Cup on Sunday.
The rainbow club left no stone unturned as they scored in either half to end the game 2-0 victors.
Fred Ansah scored the game’s opener in the first half following a lovely buildup to place the ball beyond the reach of the Danbort goalkeeper.
Hearts of Oak forward, Joseph Esso consolidated the Phobians lead halfway through the second half.
Marfo in post for Danbort committed a blunder allowing an onrushing Esso to hit the back of the net for Hearts’ second.
The Ghanaian FA Cup record holders held on to finish the game 2-0 to progress to the next stage of this seasons MTN FA Cup.
