Medeama CEO deny Yacouba signing; gives update on transfer

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Medeama Sporting club James Asirifi has denied reports that the club has signed Songne Yacouba.

This comes after wide spread media reports suggested that the Asante Kotoko forward has joined the Yellow and Mauve side following the expiration of his contract.

“I’ve not set my eyes on Yacouba ever since we played with Kotoko in Tarkwa. I’ve seen such stories but there is no truth in it” Mr. Asirifi told Kumasi based OTEC FM

He went on to confirm that talks are still ongoing between the parties though they are yet to reach an agreement.

“We’ve not reach an agreement with him even though we are in talks with him” He added

The forward has been subject of interest from several clubs both on the local and continental scene after failing to agree a new deal with the Porcupine Warriors.
