It was midweek action in the top flight division as the Ghana Premier League entered into Matchday 8.
Among the top games from matchday 8 is the clash between West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) and Asante Kotoko which came off at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope.
The Porcupine Warriors managed to pick a point from the Sogakope Park which has in recent times been a difficult grounds for the visitors.
Despite enjoying a lion share in the early exchanges, WAFA could not convert them into chances with their only clear opportunity going straight into the hands of Kwame Baah in post for Asante Kotoko.
Midway through the half, Emmanuel Gyamfi had a chance to put Kotoko ahead but he could only manage a weak shot which did little trouble to the WAFA goalkeeper.
The second half returned with the visitors imposing themselves more but could barely threaten the defence of WAFA who stood resolute.
William Opoku Mensah and Emmanuel Gyamfi were in thick affairs for the Porcupine.
Both sides were presented opportunities in the dying stages of the game with Kotoko failing to utilise a number of corners that came their way.
WAFA after struggling to penetrate the Kotoko defence attempted to shoot from the outside the penalty box but could only blast their efforts wide to end the game in a goalless stalemate.
