Brendan Rodgers has given the latest update on Ghanaian international, Daniel Amartey who picked up an injury in Leicester City’s defeat to Westham United.
Amartey has been out of the Foxes team for two years following injury setbacks but made a return with some good performances in two appearances only to pick up a hamstring injury in his third outing which came up against the hammers in the EPL.
Ahead of Leicester’s premier league game against Aston Villa on Sunday, Brendan Rodgers revealed that the defender will be out for several weeks.
“Obviously, Daniel Amartey is out with his hamstring for a number of weeks, so the international break hasn’t been too kind for us, ” Rodgers said on Friday.
Interestingly, the former Copenhagen defender picked an injury against Westham in 2018 which kept him out of action until September this year.
Following an impressive showing Manchester City, he was handed a start against Westham resulting in another setback on the treatment table.
