Special Aide to the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) Kofi Asare Brako has expressed his displeasure over the decision by lawyers of Kwesi Appiah to drag the Ghana Football Association and Sports Ministry for their client to be paid an amount of US$185,000 due him.
The ace broadcaster revealed that the Sports Ministry has initiated steps to pay all outstanding salaries and bonuses owe the various national team coaches in coming days.
“The Sports Ministry has been engaging all these coaches and we are working around the clock to pay them their outstanding salaries and bonuses”, He told Accra-based Happy FM.
“He shouldn’t have come out to give that ultimatum to GFA that if they don’t pay by the deadline he would take the GFA to FIFA. This will be a disgrace to the country if the case is sent to FIFA”, Asare Brako called on Kwesi Appiah to be patient.
This comes in the wake of media reports that the former Black Stars coach is set to report the GFA to FIFA over his unpaid salaries and bonuses after several failed attempts to reach the FA.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim Tanko and Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konado are also owed by the GFA after serving as head coaches of the Black Meteors and Black Stars B’ respectively.
