Ghana Football Association (GFA) Club Licensing Board chairman, Kwame Baah Nuakoh has thrown light on withdrawal of licensing given clubs over non-compliance to regulations.
Dr Nuakoh speaking on Joy Sports Link on Saturday revealed that clubs in a course of a season can have their license withdraw if they fail to comply to regulations stipulated by the Licensing Board.
This will eventually lead them to be kicked out of the league since they cannot operate without a license.
“There are certain requirements including payments of SSNIT contributions of players and taxes and all those things.
“If we give you a license, we require that you conform to the Companies Act. If during the season, we have cause to believe that you are breaching the terms of your license, the board has every power to withdraw your license,” he told Nathaniel Attoh.
It can be recalled that the Licensing Board withdrew the license of Ghana premier league side, Liberty Professionals for the use of the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park as their home venue.
This was after three snakes were reportedly killed during a game against Hearts of Oak at the Venue.
“If we withdraw your license, you are automatically kicked out of the league. Look at Liberty Professionals and the problems they had with snakes at the stadium. We withdrew their license until they were able to correct it”, the former Asante Kotoko management member added.
