President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kurt Okraku has expressed his joy over the decision by George Afriyie to serve on the 5-member Division One League (DOL) advisory committee.
The Newly constituted DOL committee will see the former FA presidential aspirant join the current administration to help promote the sport in the country.
The 5-member ad-hoc committee is expected to advise the Executive Council on all processes leading to the implementation of the new 18-club Division One league.
After having accepted the role, Kurt Okraku via his Twitter handle posted a congratulation message over the latter’s decision to serve on the committee.
George Afriyie is the latest former FA presidency aspirant to have accepted a role in the current administration after Fred Pappoe, George Ankomah, and Amanda Clinton.
Fred Pappoe and George Ankomah are serving Black Stars management committee and club licensing board with Amanda Clinton agreeing to serve as a consultant to the football administration.
