New Ajax Amsterdam signing Mohammed Kudus has said he opted to take the number 20 jersey as a dedication to Abdelhak Nouri who recently woke out of a coma.
Ghanaian International in a post via his twitter account revealed his preferred number was 34 but opted for the number previously worn by Morroco’s Nouri who close to 2 years in a coma, ending what promised to be an exciting career for the teenager.
Kudus has been subject of interest by top clubs in Europe after putting in a stellar performance for Nordjaelland FC in the Danish Superliga which earned him a place 2020 Golden Boy Award shortlist.
Prior to his 5-year deal to join Ajax, Mohammed Kudus has scored 11 times in 26 appearances for Nordsjaelland before scoring on his debut for Ghana in an AFCON qualifier against South Africa.
