Kumasi Asante Kotoko continues to strengthen the side ahead of the commencement of the 2020-21 Ghana premier league and the CAF Champions league.
Despite securing the signatures of Latif Anabila, Evans Adomako, Yussif Mubarik, among three other signings, the Porcupine Warriors are stuck in negotiations for Justice Blay.
Blay has been a top target for Kotoko after having impressed during a loan spell but Medeama’s demands have proved a huge frustration for the Porcupine Warriors.
But Kotoko PRO Moses Antwi Benefo in an interview with Oyerepa FM maintains that the clubs are still in negotiations.
“For now Blay is Medeama’s player. Since we came in, we have had negotiations with Medeama for the permanent signing of Blay – but there no agreement yet”.
He added that Kotoko is poised to make two new additions to the already recruited players with a striker being a top priority.
“Kotoko to sign another striker making them 6 but one of them will leave,
“Asante Kotoko looking at signing 2 more players in addition to the 8 already signed, ” he added.
On Friday, Kotoko announced the signing of Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama on a two-year deal; increasing their summer transfer business to six so far.
