A second-half strike by Hearts of Oak forward, Kofi Kordzi was enough as the Phobians picked all points in their Matchday 7 game against Dreams FC on Sunday.
Having suffered defeat in their last fixture against Asante Kotoko, the Phobians needed a good result in Dawu to get the campaign back on track.
An end-to-end first half action saw the two clubs create goalscoring opportunities but it was the visitors who came close to breaking the deadlock with Joseph Esso hitting the post on two occasions.
Emmanuel Ocran’s 29th-minute effort was parried away by Hearts goalkeeper, Richard Attah to keep the game barren at half time.
Hearts of Oak took the lead just 10 minutes into the second half as Kofi Kordzi scored what would prove the match-winner after a sweet interchange between himself and Emmanuel Nettey.
There was no sign of fatigue as both sides continued to entertain fans at the Theatre of Dreams.
Hearts of Oak held on to carry all three points to the Capital where they will face Ashantigold on Thursday.
