Kojo Yankah questions Osei Palmer’s GFA ad-hoc committee appointment

Former Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kojo Yankah has questioned the reason behind the appointment of Wilfred Osei Kwaku ‘Palmer’ on the Ad-hoc committee.

This comes in the wake of a decision by the Ghana FA to appointment Osei Palmer on a three-member Ad-hoc committee despite an impending CAS ruling on his case against the GFA.

Kojo Yankah in an interview on Wamputu Sports on Accra-based Happy FM suggested the appointment was to influence the CAS ruling.

According to him, Osei Palmer’s decision to reject the offer is a step in the right direction.

“It’s the right decision taken by Palmer to reject the position. If Palmer is not deemed fit to contest or hold a position at the GFA why then give him a position at the FA”,

“We all know Palmer is in court contesting why he was disqualified so why this appointment from the FA if they are not trying to trick him to influence the CAS ruling?”, Yankah quizzed.

Meanwhile, the Ghana football awaits August 4th ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) which challenges Kurt Okraku’s position as president of the GFA.

Osei Palmer was disqualified in the run-up to the FA election last year, a decision that has led him to seek redress from the adjudicatory body.
