The 2019/20 Ghana Premier league entered into matchday 9 with two games being played today.
King Faisal welcome West African Football Academy (WAFA) to the Baba Yara Sports stadium were both teams emerge with a point following an intriguing end to the game.
After a goalless first half, Ibrahim Abubakar scored in the 67th minute to put WAFA ahead.
The visitors appeared to have taken all three points but not until the 90th-minute mark when a King Faisal player was fouled in the box to earn the side a penalty.
Mustapha Mohammed made no mistake as he scored the stoppage-time penalty to earn King Faisal a point.
Despite the draw, King Faisal remain winless after nine matches, drawing four and losing five times.
Meanwhile, WAFA moved to 6th on the table with 14 points ahead of the rest of the games on Sunday.
There was another game but this time at the Accra Sports Stadium where Inter Allies played as host to Legon Cities.
At the end of proceedings, Jabila Abdul Karim’s 70th-minute penalty cancelled out Victorien Adebayor’s first-half opener.
The Inter Allies forward recorded his seventh goal of the campaign but that was not enough as Legon cities fought back to earn a draw.
The results meant Inter Allies move to 9th on the league log with 11 points as Legon Cities sit just three points above the drop zone with 10 points.
The rest of the Ghana Premier League games will continue on Sunday.
