Apparently it doesnt take much to change ones taste and preference as Popular Ghanaian boxer, Braimah Kamoko also known as Bukom Banku downplayed any chance of a rematch between himself and Samir Bastie.
The Ghanaian heavyweight boxer following his debut international fight said on the Atuu Show that he’s passed Bastie’s level.
“I have passed Bastie’s level. Bastie is beating me but God has done something for the world and people are seeing it now”.
“I have passed Bastie level. I have gone to international, what am I coming to do in the locality boxing again. If you are going forward, go forward. I’m there for Bastie but for now am I’m focused on winning a world title.
“Every boxer is a boxer. If my promoter is doing the bout, he will make sure that he will give me boxers that I will win before I get to the international level. If you want to get to a world title, you beat the local boxers first ” Braimah is quoted by GhanaWeb.
Braimah Kamoko defeated Germany’s Rojhat Bilgetekin in his first international fight prompting calls for a rematch between himself and Samir Bastie.
The now 39-year old boxer’s 28 bouts unbeaten run came to an end in 2017 after his abysmal showing at the Bukom Boxing Arena where he was knocked down.
Ever since there’s been speculation of a rematch between the pair, but it looks like the “now-International fighter” holds all the cards for a possible bout.
