Hearts of Oak will see their resolve tested on Sunday when they host Aduana Stars on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Phobians are currently on a five-game unbeaten run, winning three and drawing two with their last game being a drubbing 4-0 win over WAFA.
Aduana Stars seems far from finding a consistent run so far in the first round of the 2020/1 Ghana premier league after losing three of the last four.
However, the ‘Ogya Boys’ have just three points separating them and 5th placed Hearts of Oak.
An Aduana Stars win on Sunday will see them peg level on points with the Phobians on 27 points.
However, it promises to be a cracker for either side, especially for the Hearts faithful who have struggled to get results against Aduana Stars at home in recent times.
Since the 2011/12 season, Hearts of Oak has played Aduana Stars five times at home yet managed to record just one win.
After 2 consecutive draws in 2012 and 2013, Hearts managed to secure victory in a five-goal thriller to beat the Dormaa side 3-2.
From then it’s been two draws at home; a goalless draw in 2016 and a 3-3 scoreline in 2017.
Samuel Boadu will need to marshall his team against an Aduana Stars side who now appears comfortable playing his side away.
Hearts suffered a 2-0 defeat to Aduana Stars in the first round and will look to return the favor on Sunday.
