Hearts of Oak have finally been cleared to play in this year’s Ghana premier league after players and technical staff tested negative in their recent COVID-19 test.
According to reports, the playing body and technical staff have been given the green light by the Ghana Health Services to commence their premier league campaign.
Hearts of Oak had their league opener against Aduana Stars last Saturday called-off barely a day to the kickoff with reports suggesting that most of the playing body and technical team have tested positive to coronavirus.
This also affected their matchday 2 game against AshantiGold which has been rescheduled to Tuesday, 24th November 2020.
The news certainly comes as huge relief to Ghanaian football fans following suggestions the 2020/21 Ghana premier league may be suspended due to wave of COVID-19 infection in the camp of some of the teams.
