The city of Accra will awaken once more when two of Ghana’s traditional clubs fight for points and bragging rights at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Having particularly failed to impress so far after 13 games into the Premier League campaign, Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics will hope to appease fans with a win in their matchday 14 tie.
After three consecutive draws, the Phobian faithful are growing impatient over the team’s lack of cutting edge as they lie in 9th position with 18 points.
Meanwhile, Great Olympics were 2-0 victors against Ebusua Dwarfs on Sunday, lifting them three points above the drop zone with 14 points.
A win against Hearts could move them up to 11th on the league table.
Forward Ibrahim Sulley has been instrumental for the wonder club and will need to replicate his recent form to earn a scalp over their city rivals.
The two teams have managed 27 goals between them but interestingly it is Olympics who has scored the most with 15.
The Phobians will be counting on their attacking front to deliver this time around.
The match is scheduled for 7 PM at the Accra Sports Stadium and will be live on Startimes – Adepa channel.
