With just days to the commencement of the 2019/20 Ghana premier league, Great Olympics’ Isaac Nii Armah has resigned from his position as head coach of the side.
His decision comes as a huge surprise after having made several bold claims ahead of the start of the ghana football season.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the side, Saint Osei has reportedly confirmed in an interview with @zylofonfm1021fm sports the coach’s decision to vacate his position just days to their Ghana Premier League opener against AshantiGold SC.
The PRO came short to revealing reasons behind Nii Armah’s resignation having led a relatively active transfer activity.
Interestingly, Coach Isaac Nii Armah in a recent interview on Kwese Free Sports stated that he will resign from his post should Great Olympics fail to pick fifteen (15) points from their opening seven games.
“We have named it ‘Operation 15 points’ but then, if after the first seven matches, Olympics do not have the points needed to stay up in the league, I will resign because I want to keep my self-respect and dignity intact.
“I hope that it does not happen because I want to win the first five matches but then, in football, anything can happen.”
