The President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Akuffo-Addo will address the nation tonight in his 15th update since the country underwent lockdown due to the outbreak of the coronavirus in Ghana.
Various economic activities in Ghana including sports were suspended in attempts by Government to check to the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
As a result, the 2019-20 Ghana football campaign was halted in March but was later cancelled after attempts by the Ghana Football Association to have football return failed to materialize.
Since then several restrictions have been eased with the Government giving the green light for non-contact sports to resume.
Nana Addo in his last address gave way for the national juvenile teams to begin residential camping ahead of their continental assignments.
However, there are indications that government will finally allow football to return after it received a comprehensive document submitted by the GFA earlier this week.
The address scheduled for 8 PM tonight will be closely monitored by stakeholders in the local game who continue to wait for football’s return in Ghana.
