On Tuesday, head coach of the Black Stars Charles Akonnor released his squad for Ghana’s double-header against Sudan in the 2021 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
Among the players missing from the list was Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan.
The skipper since returning for first-team selection after a successful wedding in January has only been limited to a bench role.
Kwame Baah has been nothing but outstanding for Asante Kotoko since taking over the role in the absence of Felix Annan.
Unsurprisingly, the goalkeeper lost his place in the Ghana squad to Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Richard Atta who earned his debut call-up on Tuesday.
Felix Annan moments after the official release of Ghana squad sent a “Thank You” post via his Twitter account.
The tweet is been suggested as a vile dig at Kotoko head coach, Maxwell Konado over his reluctance to pick Felix despite being available for over a month now.
Meanwhile, the captain who joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2011 recently signed a contract extension, keeping him at the club until at least 2022.
