Like in the famous Charles Dickens page – Oliver Twist will always ask for me.
A clearly excited Ghana premier league referee, Rustum Gameli Senorgbe raised the bar to another with level with quite an extraordinary request to the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
It comes in the wake of the GFA’s partnership agreement with national carrier Intercity STC Coaches limited which ensured referees only pay 50% discount on trips to match venues.
The Class One referee who doubles as a journo who was one of the beneficiaries on Matchday one of the Ghana premier league on a lighter note took to his Facebook page to express his delight over the package.
According to Rustum, the GFA must go team up with a local airline next after STC.
“I also paid half price from Ho to Accra. Let’s move to local airlines after STC, ‘ he posted.
Rustum Senorge is one of the highly-rated Ghana premier league referees and was the fourth referee in the league match between Asante Kotoko and Techimen XI Wonders last Sunday.
He was in charge of top games in the Ghanaian top-flight including Asante Kotoko’s clash against Karela United in the last season’s truncated Ghana premier league.
