It was all emotions as Ghanaian football legend, Abedi Ayew ‘Pele’ cried on tv after meeting Herbert Aditah, the man discovered him at the colts level.
The former Olympic Marseille and Real Tamale United player could not hold back his emotions as his first football coach was introduced on a GTV Sports Plus show on Sunday.
Abedi Pele first began his juvenile career at Great Falcons before ascending to become one of the continent’s footballing greats.
He is a three-time winner of the African Footballer of The Year as well as the BBC African Footballer in 1991.
Having featured for a host of clubs in France, Abedj won the UEFA Champions League with French giants Olympic Marseille.
The introduction of Mr Herbert Aditah was a surprise to Abedi who could not hold back his emotions.
He paid a glowing tribute to his one-time manager and other individuals who helped him stake a name in the sport.
