Ghana’s Para powerlifter, Emmanuel Nii Tettey Oku has was bronze in the World Para powerlifting championship ongoing in Manchester.
The Ghanaian came third in the Men’s up to 72kg category, behind English duo Mickey Yule and Nathaniel Wilding who came first and second respectively on Saturday.
With the Paralympics games scheduled for later this year, Tokyo will become the first city to host the event twice.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Nii Tettey Oku is inline to earn a ticket to qualify for the Paralympic games which will come off at the Tokyo International Forum between 27th and 31st August 2020.
The Paralympics is a series of International sports contest for physically-challenged athletes which is held usually after the summer and winter Olympic games.
