Ghana premier league side, Elmina Sharks have confirmed that some of its players have tested positive for COVID-19.
The club in an official statement via its Twitter handle announced that some of its players have tested positive for the virus and currently responding to treatment under isolation.
This comes just a day after Ghana premier league opener between Aduana Stars and Hearts of Oak was called off over fears of COVID-19 infections.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is yet to comment on the latest issue.
Meanwhile, Sharks are expected to play Ebusua Dwarfs on Sunday at the Cape Coast Stadium.
