Eleven Wonders vs Asante Kotoko; Officiating-omen favor Porcupine Warriors

The 2020/21 Ghana Premier League returns with some mouthwatering games on match day 18.

Great Olympic set the second round of the league rolling with a 1-0 win over Medeama SC on Friday afternoon.

The rest of the games continue with Eleven Wonders hosting Asante Kotoko at the Techiman Park.

The arrival of Mariano Barreto and the signing of Michael Vinicius, the second Brazilian to join the Kotoko setup this season will attract a huge following to Techiman.

Asante Kotoko despite having a game in hand will look to close the gap on leaders Great Olympics and Karela United while keeping a safe distance from sworn rivals Hearts of Oak.

Eleven Wonders also need the points to safeguard from dropping into the drop zone. This has certainly made the game one to watch.

Resolute referee, Rustum Gameli has been appointed center referee and will be supported on the lines by Soulemana Deen and Ato Yawsom with Philip Forson serving as the fourth referee.

The game will be Rustum’s second Kotoko away game in charge after earlier officiating their match against Dreams FC.

Interestingly, Kotoko has emerged victors in all away games offciated by the Ho-based referee and journalist; 1-0 victory against Dreams FC in Dawu while recording similar scoreline against Karela United away in the truncated 2019/20 league campaign.
