Division One League: Lions, Weavers begin campaign against Capital sides

Two Volta representatives, Hearts of Lions and Agbozume Weavers will begin their Division One League (DOL) campaign with fixtures against Young Wise FC and Mighty Jets FC respectively.

Having endured a difficult spell before the earlier campaign got truncated, Agbozume Weavers have been presented another opportunity to mount a strong case in a bid to secure premier league football at the end of the season.

Their opening game will come up at home against no mere side than Mighty Jet FC who are no pushovers in the division.

Regional counterparts Kpando Hearts of Lions will travel to play Young Wise FC.

Following their impressive showing in the Normalisation Committee (NC) Tier 2 Special competition, Lions’ will look to replicate the same form as they target Premier league status since been relegated in 2015.

Both clubs are grouped in Zone 3 where they will come against the likes of Tema Youth FC, Mighty Jets, Amidaus FC, among others.

The Division will commence on Friday, 10th January 2020.
