Diawisie Taylor scored twice as Karela United defeated Legon Cities 3-0 at the Akoon Park on Friday afternoon.

The host having lost their last fixture needed a win to avoid the drop zone as they play Legon Cities in the Matchday 7 of the Ghana Premier League.

Premier league returnee, Diawisie Taylor opened the scoring in the 28th minute before Samuel Ofori added the second on the stroke of halftime.

Legon Cities returned from recess with everything to play for but it was a little too late as the Karela United hitman added his second of the game to take all points for his side.

Karela will move to 10th position on the league table with the rest of the weekend games yet to be played.
