Death toll increase as two more footballers die in ghastly accident

New reports coming in indicate that two more young footballers have died increasing the death toll to eight.

This follows are ghastly accident on Saturday evening as African Vision FC were returning from Afrancho after a reported player registration exercise.

The accident led to the bus carrying the juvenile footballers falling in the Offinso River with six passing-on from the spot.

President of the GFA, Kurt Okraku has expressed the association’s condolences to all affected families in the incident.

A delegation has been sent to visit the victims at the hospital and report to the FA head for further action.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) has also issued a statement commiserating with the families of the bereaved, indicating that steps will be taken to avert any future occurrence of such an incident.
