Ghana’s attempt to make it to the 2020 Africa Nations Cup (CHAN) hit a snag after the Black Stars ‘B’ lost 1-0 to Burkina Faso at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

After having missed the last two editions, Coach Maxwell Konadu led the home-based Black Stars team when they played their counterpart from Burkina Faso on Sunday afternoon.

At the end of the match, the visitors emerged victors thanks to a Stephane Yannick late goal in Kumasi, handing the away side all advantage ahead of the second leg.

Ghana boasted a strong line-up including the likes of Fatawu Mohammed, Justice Blay, Mohammed Alhassan, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Joseph Esso, Shafiu Mumuni (c) with Felix Annan in post.

The team can not afford to miss chances as they did on Sunday afternoon, should there be any hope of overturning the deficit in the second leg.
