The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has enquired from the Ghana Football Association over plans concerning the suspended 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.
This comes in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic which has led to the suspension of sports activities globally.
CAF in the letter to the GFA as well as other football federations across the continent seeks to know their final decision concerning the fate of the various leagues which will be used to determine participants for CAF inter-club competitions.
The continent’s football governing body set May 5, 2020, as the deadline for a final response concerning decisions by its member associations.
Meanwhile, football activities remained grounded in Ghana as part of plans to aid curb the increasing infection rate of the COVID-19 virus which has so far claimed 16 lives.
Ghana currently has over 1600 confirmed cases with 188 full recoveries.
