Asante Kotoko will attempt to make to the group stage of the 2019/20 CAF Champions League when they play Etoile Du Sahel in the second leg final qualifying round on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors enter the match with a 2-0 advantage from Baba Yara Sports Stadium where they defeated their Tunisian opponent.
It has been unsettling times for Etoile Du Sahel who have picked just a single win in the last seven games, drawing once and losing five times.
But their ruthlessness at home in the Africa campaign means coach Kjetil Zacharrissen and his charges should leave nothing to chance as they aim to reach the money zone of the CAF top-tier club competition for the first time in thirteen years.
Etoile have failed to score in their last three competitive matches, a trend they will need to end should they have any chance of eliminating Kotoko.
Zachariassen remains confident ahead of the tie, reiterating that his side are going to play for a win in Sousse.
Meanwhile, Kotoko’s Burkinabe forward Sogne Yacouba was left out of the traveling party.
The visitors recorded their first-ever win against the Tunisians in four games, losing twice and drawing once.
As it stands, Etoile Du Sahel will need to score more than two goals to proceed to the next round. An away goal for Kotoko could be the deciding factor for the Ghanaian giants.
