ACE Power Boxing promotions will organise a fight night in the Ghanaian capital dubbed ‘Knockout COVID-19’ on December 24th.

The event scheduled for the Bukom Boxing Arena will offer a platform got the Ghanaian boxers to exhibit their boxing prowess after an extended inactive period due to the outbreak of the pandemic.

‘Knockout COVID-19’ was originally scheduled for November 24 but was rescheduled to Christmas Eve due to the inability of the Ghana Boxing Authority to test the boxers.

However, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of ACE Power Boxing promotions Prince Dornu-Leiku has stressed that organisers will ensure to meet all medical and safety requirements to hold the night.

Among some bouts on the night includes a Super Lightweight fight between Robert Quaye and Tackie Annan.

Sani Yidana Kugblie is paired against Daniel Aduku in a super welterweight division contest as Edward Kambasa also fight Alfred Lamptey in the Featherweight bout.

In a light heavyweight contest, John Dugu will fight Ahmed Abdulai while Yakubu Alidu will contest with Ishmael Djan in the heavyweight division.

The fight night is a collaboration between Ace Power Boxing and Box Office promotions geared towards supporting Ghanaian boxers against COVID-19 challenges.
