Ghanaian-born British light heavyweight boxer, Joshua Buasti was in the ring on Saturday as he inflicted a seventh-round knock out on Canada’s Ryan Ford.
He became the first man to knock down the Canadian veteran after leading the scorecards in all six rounds before finally ending the bout in the seventh.
Despite making a few body shot against Buatsi, the Canadian with mixed martial art background was never a threat as the Ghanaian-born british dominated the entire bout.
The 26-year-old maintains his clean record since turning professional, winning all twelve bouts; ten by way of knockout.
Ford, 37 failed to beat the count as he found himself at the wrong end of series of body punches before finally hitting the canvas in the 7th round.
The tough Canadian did not go down without complaints, suggesting he was hit with a low blow in the build-up.
Buatsi is an Olympic medalist, winning bronze in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
