Black Stars skipper, Andre Ayew has revealed his reason to stay with English championship side, Swansea City despite offers from top European clubs during the summer.
The 29-year old in an interview with BBC sportswales maintained he “feels at home” at Swansea City after retaining on loan from Turkish side Fenerbahce last season.
“I am happy to be back”.
“I feel at home. There were a lot of possibilities for me to move. But as soon as I got back I felt the desire from the manager, the players. They wanted me to stay and for sure the fans. That was special to me.
” When I felt that i started to think maybe we have to go for it again”, the former Marseille player said.
“We were talking about finding a solution with other clubs. I said if I dodon’tfind something which suits me 100 percent I am not going to move just to say I play in Ligue 1 or Serie A or the Premier League.
“The truth of the matter is a part of me wanted to stay here. A few days before the end of the market i told my agent I’ve made my decision and want to stay”.
Following a failed loan stint with Fenerbahce last season, Andre Ayew was expected to move from the former Premier League side in a bid to play top-flight football.
The player instead remained with Swansea City, providing two assists in seven appearances so far this season.
