Andre Ayew increased his goal tally for the 2019/20 English football season after scoring Swansea City’s second against Sheffield on Sunday afternoon.
The Ghanaian international scored his 14th of the league campaign from the spot as Swansea defeated Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 in the English championship.
Rhian Brewster broke the deadlock for the host after 52 minutes before the Black Stars skipper doubled his side’s lead from the spot after Connor Roberts was fouled in the Sheffield penalty box.
The goal meant Andre Ayew has made 20 goal contributions so far for Swansea City in the current campaign; scoring 14 and assisting 6 times.
Swansea move to 8th position on the championship table after 41 games. They’ve won and drawn 15 times apiece earning 60 points so far.
Prior to this season, Ayew’s best goalscoring tally was 12 which was in his debut season for the Wales side in the 2015/16 season.
