Ghana will begin the 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against South Africa this evening at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday evening.
Having arrived in Ghana on Monday, Bafana Bafana led by head coach Moleki Ntseki held their mandatory at Cape Coast Stadium on Tuesday.
The last time the two teams met was in the 2015 AFCON where Ghana emerged victors thanks to a late winner by Andre Ayew.
In some team news, the Black Stars will miss the services of three players; Harrison Afful, Mubarak Wakaso and Mohammed Salisu who had to pull out of the qualifiers due to injuries.
Paderborn 07 player, Christopher Antwi Adjei couldn’t make it due to documentation issues.
The visitors are without their instrumental Themba Zwani, who failed to make the team due to injury.
Coach Kwesi Appiah and his team received a rousing welcome en route Cape Coast where they will play South Africa later this evening.
The match is scheduled for 7 PM and will be live on GTV and GtvSports Plus channel.
Meanwhile, Sudan defeated Sao Tome and Principe 4-0 in the other Group C qualifier.
