The Black Stars began their 2021 AFCON qualifier on a flyer as they beat South Africa 2-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium.
A fairly balanced first-half game saw Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey score with a low thunderbolt to put Ghana 1-0 up.
The West African side had to wait till the 80th minute to score their second of the night.
This time it was 20-year old Nordsjaelland player, Mohammed Kudu who earned his name among a host of players to have scored on their debut Ghana.
Following his introduction in the 61st minute for Alfred Duncan, Mohammed Kudu scored an incredible goal after going past two South African players, having intercepted a ball from the center of the pitch.
He held on to place the ball beyond the reach of SA goalkeeper to the far right corner.
It marked a good start for the teenage prodigy who will hope to maintain that form for the Black Stars in subsequent appearances.
Ghana will play Sao Tome and Principe on Monday in the next afcon qualifier.
