Kotoku Royals and Accra Lions settled for a draw in their division one league zone 3 clash at the Akyem Old Tafo Park on Sunday.
The visitors continued their campaign but this time without long-serving captain Abubakar Salifu who completed his move to play for Moldovan side FC Codru Lozova last Friday.
Accra lions were looking to bounce back following their first defeat of the season to Okyeman Planners in their last league outing.
The opening minutes saw either side trying to dominate proceedings but had to wait till past the midway through the match to produce a goal.
Accra Lions’ Kelvin Kyei put the visitors ahead with a good strike to end the first half with a goal advantage.
Back of recess, Kotoku Royals continued to push until they eventually earned themselves a penalty to draw level.
Despite several attempts by the two teams, neither failed to find the winner and shared the spoils in the match day 13 clash.
The results meant the two teams are separated by just a point at the top of the league table with Accra Lions occupying the summit with 28 points, followed by Kotoku Royals in second place.
