Match day 14 of the 2020/21 Division One League saw regional derby between Heart of Lions and Agbozume Weavers on Sunday at the Kpando park.
Lions who are yet to replicate their consistent form in previous campaigns this season played home to Agbozume Weavers who haven’t found their feet in the second-tier of the Ghana football since securing promotion from the third-tier.
Abdul Raman was had starting berth following his move from Vision FC to the join Heart of Lions and went on to mark a debut goal.
The derby certainly lived up to expectations yet failed to produce a goal after the first 45 minutes.
The second half produced two goals however, both were scored by Heart of Lions who sealed all three points with a 2-0 victory.
Second half substitute, Emmanuel Hammond made an instant to break the games deadlock after finding the net in the 63rd minute.
With the visitors continually pushing for an equalizer, Lions have to wait until the 90 minute to double their lead and secure all points at stake for the regional derby.
This time it was the debut boy Abdul Raman, who hit home lions second to defeat regional foes Agbozume Weavers.
The results meant Lions lie 4th on the DOL Zone three table with 28 points, level with Accra Lions, Kotoku Royals and two behind Tema Youth.
