The race for premier league football continues into matchday 16 as Vision FC played as host to Heart of Lions in Zone 3 of the Division One League (DOL).

The first round ended with Lions lying in the fourth position, five points adrift top-placed Tema Youth FC while Vision FC occupied the 11th position.

Saturday afternoon’s clash began with either side enjoying a fair share of possession in the opening fifteen minutes.

Vision FC had the first sight at goal but it took a good save by Heart of Lions goalkeeper Emmanuel Ofori to keep the scoreline tied in the opening quarter of the match.

Lions’ skipper Samuel Baah entered the referee’s notes after been booked in the 43rd of minute as the game ended goalless at the break.

Just like the first half, the second half resumed with both teams struggling to dominate proceedings at the Nii Amoah Okromanso Park.

The major highlight of the game occurred in the closing stages as Samuel Baah was given his marching orders after receiving his second booking.

However, that could do little to the game’s fortunes as it ended goalless in a rather quiet afternoon in Amrahia.
